2018 Adventure to Japan

I have always wanted to go see the sights myself in Japan and experience the culture first hand.  Lots of my friends in college were either from Japan or had visited there already.  There are so many UNESCO heritage sites, not even mentioning their already astounding national parks and gardens.  Not to mention all the cool shopping (got to compare it against Hong Kong) and I've heard so many stories about the vending machines. 

We could have chosen one of many land based tours, but my sister and I have chosen to do a Princess cruise instead.  The Diamond Princess has a special place in my heart as it was the first ship my husband and I took to Alaska. It will be interesting to see the upgrades that took place after Princess moved the ship to Asia.  I'm sure we will make good use of our mini-suite; my sister has already booked her spa appointment.  Weather should be nice, much like it would be in Seattle I hear.
