Mammoth Mountain

Mammoth Mountain is unquestionably one of the finest Alpine Skiing Mountain in the world. An average of over 400 inches (33 feet) of snow falls onto the 11,053 foot summit, making the entire 3,500 plus acres of skiable terrain enjoyable for all. And when the snow has melted, there are plenty of summer events to give your family an opportunity to have a blast in the great outdoors (and visit Yosemite without the crowds). The mountain is situated about 330 miles from San Francisco and 310 miles from Los Angeles.

See below for travel ideas.  With the record snowfall this year, Mammoth is open through July 4th.
